A recent phone chat with Terran, my University friend cum neighbour revealed that he has quitted his full time job to pursue his own dreams. At a time when money and career meant a lot to most of us, he has chosen a path otherwise taken. He has taken up a full time course on multimedia and visual communication design in the hope of fulfilling his interest. I remembered Terran said something during the conversation that I will never forget:" I never want to be an engineer again ". So what really prompt him to make a bold career move, especially since he has just got married and needed a full time job to earn his bacon? To Terran, life means living to the fullest. He didn't want to earn his monthly bacon and pass to his wife, rather, he wants to know what would have happened if he has pursued his interests. Terran's story touches my heart immersely! Deep inside, I'm tired after working as an engineer for 5 years. Day in and out, we engineers have been slogging hard ...

Should be
Rule 1 - Passion
I believe everything you do (in life) PASSION is always THE MOST IMPORTANT.
I've been in the Quality line for many years...because of PASSION.
I've keep fish for many years too....because of PASSION.
Once my very rich friend's father told us "if you have passion in what you do, $ will comes along". I believe it.
However, passion in what you do (in your job or personal life) without support from the people above you or love ones = "zero"; your passion will run dry.
Passion = hard work (which you don't find it hard but enjoyable).
Keep fish is the love my in life, but it comes with a lot of hard work (changing water at least once a week) but I find it enjoyable.
Find the passion in your life and it will lead you the way. With the support from your love ones, you will success in whatever you do. That's what I believe.
